Event description
A long awaited Kiki in the Park, hosted by BWCV and Comedian, Actress and Writer Charla Lauriston

About this event

It’s been sooo long since we’ve had an in-person event and we miss it!! The sun is out and we want to be out too - so come kiki with us in the park. “Kiki” is loosely defined as a gathering of friends for the purpose of gossiping and chit-chat. YAASS!

Bring your friends and create a pod - or come solo and make some new friends!! We will be abiding and providing PPE with all COVID-19 protocols during the event. Bring your masks with you! This event is informal and as such BWCV will not be providing any refreshments or food. There will be washrooms available on site. Bring a picnic blanket, your friends, some snacks and create a pod.

DATE: Sunday JUNE 13th 2021, 2pm - 6pm PST.

('Kick off' with Charla at 3pm)

Organizer Black Women Connect Vancouver

Organizer of KIKI IN THE PARK: a BWCV event hosted by Charla Lauriston

Vancouver has a very small black population that is also unequally dispersed throughout the Lower Mainland. This has made it essential for collectives such as Black Women Connect Vancouver to bridge the gaps that have been created in the local black community, particularly among black women here. This kind of support will help you feel empowered, connected, and all while learning diverse information in the process. Wherever you are on this challenging journey called life, you may find yourself feeling isolated or unsupported.

Black Women Connect Vancouver will help get you connected to people who will inspire and support you!
