Description
Connect with nature at the Conservation Area at Maplewood Flats!
The Wild Bird Trust is happy to present the second week of Kingfisher Summer Camps, from 9-4:30 and Mon-Fri, for children ages 8-12. Kingfisher Summer Camps feature hands-on activities such as bird watching, Coast Salish plant walks, a canoe trip, screenprinting, and more!
Our camps are place-based, and concentrate on art and nature with support of local Coast Salish ethnobotanists, artists, and storytellers. Campers will be inspired from a foundation of respect and hope for the future as they connect to the natural and cultural story of Maplewood Flats, on Tsleil-Waututh lands.
Please drop children off at the Nature House located in Maplewood Flats conservation area at 9AM for each day of camp, and pick them up by the chosen pickup time (4:30 regular pick up or 5:30 late pickeup). Please provide a morning snack, lunch, and water bottle for your child. An afternoon snack will be provided for children signed up for late pickup.
Designed to be accessible, we offer options for extended pick up and subsidization. For more information please contact us at kingfisherkids@wilbirdtrust.org or call at 604-929-2379.
