Kingston Penitentiary Tours offer a rare and unique opportunity to go behind the walls of Canada's oldest and most notorious maximum security prison. Closed in 2013 and designated as a National Historic Site of Canada, Kingston Penitentiary is an amazing historical building which predates Canada's confederation in 1867.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes you do need to bring your ticket to the event either as a hard copy or electronically on your smart phone.
What is the refund policy?
Due to the high demand for tour tickets there are no refunds.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
We understand one person may be making ticket purchases for your group or as a gift. We have a list of those who have purchased tickets and since you have this information you will be okay for entrance.
Can I bring a camera?
Yes, personal cameras are welcome. But no tripods or heavy equipment.
Where does my tour start? Where do I meet my tour group?
Please enter through the main doors to Kingston Penitentiary located on King Street.
Can I bring my walker/wheelchair?
Yes walkers and wheel chairs are allowed on the tours. Please note that there may be some areas that may be difficult to access.
Will you mail my ticket?
No, we are not able to mail out tickets. Please print your ticket in advance or display it on your smart phone.
If you don't have a printer, there are computers and printers located at the Public Library that you can use.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available next to the Kingston Penitentiary at 560 King Street West.
