Kirk Wells was born and raised in Central Newfoundland. Now based out of St. John's, Kirk started writing music at the age of 20, mostly only sharing those songs with family, a few friends, and a scattered open mic audience. After years of encouragement and gentle nudging Kirk finally got up the nerve to approach Ian Foster about recording something more professional, and from that collaboration his first album Dahlia (named for the late blooming flower) was released in May 2020. For those efforts Kirk has recently been nominated by MusicNL for Alternative Artist of the Year, and looks forward to sharing the new album he has been writing.
