Event Information
Description
Cancelled
We have heard from the Kirkendall residents that the timing for this event is a challenge with seasonal obligations, including the much welcomed Locke Street Grand Reopening event which many in the community wish to support. As a result, we have decided to cancel this event. We will be looking to reschedule these types of community conversations in the New Year.
Best wishes for the Holiday Season!
Your Voice: Be a Catalyst for Change in Kirkendall
A strong sense of community is important to our wellbeing, our feelings of safety and security and it can impact how we participate in the world around us.
Kirkendall residents want the tools and opportunities to make real and lasting improvements in their community.
As one way to address this, the City of Hamilton has been asking the people living and working in Kirkendall what they think are the most critical issues facing their neighbourhood.
On Saturday, November 30th, join other residents, Maureen Wilson, Ward 1 Councillor, for an interactive discussion that digs deeper into the key issues that are of importance to Kirkendall, identifies next steps and ways that we can create the change that Kirkendall residents want to see in their neighbourhood.
Themes to explore:
- Improvements to HAAA & Greenspace, driven by community input
- Safe Streets for pedestrians and cyclists
- Addressing crime and safety
- A changing development landscape
- Community connections
Our goal is to put the information, contacts and tools needed into the hands of the community.
We have two sessions to choose from because we know Saturdays are busy.
- 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
This is a child-friendly and accessible event. Light refreshments from local businesses will be provided.
