Join us at Regent Health and Wellness Centre on November 16th, 2019 from 7pm - 9pm for a special evening of sacred sounds featuring Kirtan Yoga meditation with Toronto-based Kirtan Culture Initiative.

Kirtan is a call-and-response form of musical mantra meditation and the evening will be spent exploring sacred sound through mystical chants and music. Come with an open heart and allow yourself to be transported to a time and space where the exploration of the self is done through the energy of mantras and music.

In addition, we are honoured that special guests ROUA AUOR will be bringing in the energies and opening the evening with a shamanic sound journey in timeless space.

If possible, bring a yoga mat or meditation cushion as well as a small blanket and please stay with us for a social hour immediately after the event where we can enjoy tea and light snacks!

The Kirtan Culture Initiative

The Kirtan Culture Initiative (KCI) is a newly formed Toronto-based project whose aim is to share the heart-opening practice of kirtan yoga (musical mantra meditation) along with the holistic aspects of bhakti-yoga. Kirtan (musical mantra meditation) has the power to tap into deep states of consciousness and can also invoke exciting feelings of joy and energy. The KCI's aim is to continue to build, contribute and nurture the growing practice of kirtan and bhakti-yoga in yoga studios, wellness centres and sacred spaces.

ROUA AUOR

ROUA AUOR is a Shamanic Sound Healing Ensemble designed to induce a deep state of relaxation for the mind, body and spirit. Participants are guided through the use of Native American songs, Shamanic chants, Mantras, crystal bowls, tuning forks, chimes, harmonium, didgeridoos, native flutes and a number of other instruments used to create a healing environment. Created by members of Blue Wolf Community with the blessing of their teacher Maestro Manuel Rufino, a recognized Taino Elder, Spiritual Guide and Ceremonial Leader.
