In everything we gain in our world of personalization and convenience, what are we losing?
What are the effects of our focus on buying the next big thing, getting ahead at work and isolating ourselves? Are we losing empathy? What is the value of empathy in society and should we be concerned? As we become more and more isolated (think telecommuting, smartphone addiction, everything done online etc.) what impact might a further loss of empathy have on our future? Is losing this key interpersonal trait inevitable or can something be done to help us hold on to as much as we can?
Please join Kristin Dorsey, Rick Wolfe and Majid Hashemi for a conversation about the value and importance of empathy.
