Knitting (Introductory Level)
Date: June 5, 2018 (Tuesday)
Time: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Instructor: Tamsin Sloots

Fee: $30 plus HST (Members) | Fee: $35 plus HST (Non Members)

In this three hour session you’ll learn the very basics of knitting: how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off, and begin your own simple project, a scarf or neck warmer. For beginners, new knitters only.

Tamsin Sloots is a maker of prints and textile objects originally hailing from Hamilton, Ontario. She has a diploma in textiles from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario and a BFA Interdisciplinary from NSCAD University in Textiles and Printmaking. Tamsin is currently working out of the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design as an artist in residence for 2017-2018 where you can likely find her quilting up a storm or elbow deep in a vat of indigo. She thoroughly enjoys spreading her love of craft to people and experiencing the community and practicality found through making and creating. You can learn more about her by visiting her website: tamsinjohanna.com
