Know Your Worth 3.0: Holding Your Space
Event Information
About this Event
“Until all of us has made it, none of us has made it."
- Honourable Rosemary Brown
Following closely behind gender equality week in Canada, this year's Know Your Worth event will discuss gender in the workplace. Womxm are still not on the same playing field as their male counterparts and no one is immune, as showcased by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez most recent confrontation. Even when overt sexism is seemingly absent, transgressions and microaggressions are still endemic to this day.
Our moderator, Amy Robichaud, Executive Director of Dress for Success Vancouver, will lead our panel of speakers on a discussion about gender politics and how it continues to impact womxn in the workplace. We are beyond excited to welcome the following mentors, who will respond live to attendees’ questions throughout the evening:
- Charlie Poitras, Conscious Leadership Developer and Founder or Fierce Leadership Co.
- Natasha Jeshani, HR Consultant, Co-Founder and Vice President of Career Contacts
- Tessa Jordan, Program Head, Sustainable Business Leadership Advanced Certificate at BCIT
- Alisha Adams, HR Consultant and Co-Founder of Eleven Eleven Talent
Attendees will have the chance to participate in a virtual silent auction and to win (virtual) door prizes! Best of all, every penny raised at this event, like all of our events, goes directly to Dress for Success Vancouver.
YES! is a non-profit womxn's networking organization that organizes fun, philanthropic events to raise awareness and funds for DFS Vancouver. DFS Vancouver, in turn, empowers womxn back into the workforce around the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, by providing dressing, career, and mentoring services, as well as a community of peers that help raise each other up.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our annual Know Your Worth Event, in support of DFS!
