On Friday, April 3rd, join us for the LAUNCH of the KNOWLEDGE EQUITY LAB, to celebrate projects that promote community partnerships, knowledge inclusion, epistemic diversity, social justice, and systemic social change!

Through music, storytelling, spoken word, interactive exhibits, performances, and presentations, you can expect to learn about the following projects, knowledge equity themes, and more! 

  • Bioline International, the not-for-profit scholarly publishing cooperative committed to providing open access research journals from the global south, now in its third decade.

  • The ‘Open and Collaborative Science for Development Network’ (OCSDNet) whose 12 researcher-practitioner teams sought to explore open science as a transformative tool for development thinking and practice.

  • The Knowledge G.A.P, whose innovative model of student and early-career researcher collective have led to several publications and conference presentations to critical acclaim.

  • The Community Knowledge Learning Hub (CKLH), the experiential learning program focused on ethical community engagement, cultural humility, research and social justice, critical community0based methodologies, and knowledge translation and action

  • Toronto Hub of the UNESCO Knowledge for Change Global Consortium, a local training hub meant to develop research capacities for the co-creation of knowledge through collective action by practitioners, community-based researchers, community groups, and academics.

Catering will be provided by local partner, the Regent Park Catering Collective, and drinks sponsored by ?
