Event description

Description

The AC Umbrella Project, a Mental Health Innovation Fund project, has created a successful model that embodies best practices to provide substance use prevention, awareness, and early intervention to emerging adults within a post-secondary setting.

On Monday, March 12, you are invited to join us for a knowledge exchange seminar about Canada’s opioid crisis, hosted by Algonquin College’s Umbrella Project. Keynote speakers will include: Dr. Jane Buxton, Rob Boyd, Dr. Kim Corace, and Dr. J Thake. Speakers will discuss the opioid crisis, including the international, national, provincial, and regional perspectives, as well as evidence-based treatments. Attendees will receive up to date information about the opioid crisis, including strategies, tools, and recommendations that can be taken back and implemented at post-secondary organizations. Connect with members from post-secondary institutes and mental health and addiction agencies from across Ontario to unite and continue to build healthy and vibrant campus communities!
