Join us on Saturday, May 13th @7:00 p.m. for an evening of Springsteen classic songs featuring the very talented Lonnie Glass. Somewhere between Louis Armstrong and Cookie Monster lies the voice of Lonnie Glass, a consummate entertainer from Victoria. His lyrical imagery is said to lie somewhere between Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, and his storytelling between Bob Dylan and John Prine. Lonnie's latest passion is the music of Bruce Springsteen and his voice and musical talents are well matched to The Boss.
Joining Lonnie for the performance will be Sarah Smith, a well-known local Canadian singer/songwriter. Renowned for the passion she brings to each live show, to each recording session, to her writing and indeed her life, Smith is beloved by her fans for the intimacy and authenticity she brings to her craft, and the way each one of them can identify with the way she brings her own truth to every note, every lyric and every interaction.
An in-demand performer, Sarah has played on stages both massive and intimate, sharing the bill with the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Nancy Wilson, KT Tunstall, Emm Gryner, Joel Plaskett, Sass Jordan, Bif Naked, David Wilcox, 54-40, Carole Pope and many more notable artists.
