The 2 days workshop/course will familiarize students with the creative process by providing an overview of the interface, the tools, the panels, the features, and the fundamentals of layout design using InDesign software. The workshop is an excellent combination of instructor-led presentations and hands-on practice for students.

DAY 1: Fundamentals of InDesign (Beginner Level)

DAY 2: Fundamentals of InDesign (Intermedia Level)

👥 WHO?: Meet Anahit Lou, a graphic designer, art director, and educator inclined to modernism, and sincerely fascinated by the minimalism movement. She studied and trained at law school and later followed her passion for design at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where she was able to practice and combine entrepreneurial confidence and strategic thinking with conceptual thoughts that helped her to bring creative projects to life.

She worked as a junior graphic designer for real estate marketing agencies when she was still in school. In 2013, she established her own design studio and she has been working collaboratively with local and international brands since then. Most of her practices focused on branding and art direction, concept design, and interior design project consultation.

Since 2017, she has been honored to be an educator at LaSalle College Vancouver which confidently she can admit was the most astonishing achievement in her career. Since then she has been teaching and developing design courses such as fundamentals of design, digital presentation techniques, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and portfolio design.

✨ Students will be required to download InDesign on their computers to participate. We recommend downloading the trial version closer to the date. Additionally, as KPU students we receive free access to Adobe Creative Cloud, find more information here: ✨

This event is open to students in all years and in any faculty.
