Join ACC Manitoba and Club d-Escalade de Saint -Boniface for Laclu IceFest! Drive your vehicle right up to the cliff, before beginning a full day of ice climbing and festivities. Overnight winter camping is optional.

Full trip details will be sent in advance to all registrants.

All participants or their legal guardians are required to review and sign the club’s waiver to participate in this event.

Download and read through the waiver

(There is no need to print or sign the waiver in advance, as the trip leader will be reviewing it with everyone and signing prior to climbing).

All participants are required to be an ACC Manitoba or Saint-Boniface section member on club climbs. Not a member yet or your membership has lapsed? Click here for more information and to join one of the largest outdoor organizations in Canada!

This climbing trip is rated: Fun for All!

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Participants under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by their legal guardian.

The waiver must be signed at the meeting place so the trip leader can witness the signature of the legal guardian (a biological parent is typically the legal guardian of a person under the age of 18. A person who is not a parent cannot be the child's guardian because someone puts it into an agreement, unless that person has been officially appointed by court order or in a Will.)

Note: Children under the age of 16 must also be accompanied by a parent who will be responsible for the child at all times.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Carpooling & trip details (including direction) will be provided to registrants in advance of the event. Parking will be available on the ice in front of the cliff.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

You can find all the information about the trip leader at the bottom of the event page.

Do I have to bring my printed Eventbrite ticket to the event?

Save the environment ;) No need to bring your ticket with you, as our trip leader will contact you the day before to make the final arrangements.

What about those with no experience?

This event is intended for all skill levels.  However, personal climbing equipment (harnesses, helmets, crampons, ice tools, etc.) is required. If you have any questions you can contact the event organizer for more information.

What equipment do I need to bring, and what equipment will be supplied by the organizers?

ACC Manitoba will provide ropes and anchors, and a hot tent to warm up during the day (if needed). All other climbing and camping gear will be the responsibility of the participants. A full list of gear requirements will be provided to registrants.

If you have any questions on what to bring please contact the trip leader.
