Laid Off Calgary - Walking Group
Wed, 12 April 2017, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM MDT
Have you been Laid Off during this downturn in Calgary? Do you feel isolated? Are you wondering how to fill the hours?
You already know the benefits of walking and you might already have experienced the gifts of being able to connect with other people going through a similar experience.
During these informal walking groups you will experience fresh air (guaranteed to be extra fresh in Calgary from January - March!), an opportunity to listen and share experiences with one another. Give yourself permission to step away from the job search for an hour or so, meet with others, learn new strategies and simply connect with another human. We also know that exercise and exposure to potential sunshine may help to alleviate symptoms of depression - plus we know it simply feels good to get out and away from the online devices and shake up the routine a little!
