Tour of the Canadian Musuem of Human Rights

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is located just a short walk away from the Fort Garry Hotel. The cost of the tour will not be covered by the conference funds. Tours will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct 2nd. There are two types of tours available:

Explore the Galleries Tour

This guided tour will take you on a human rights journey and allow you to discover the Museum’s inspiring and diverse content. You will be able to explore all of our 11 galleries and connect with compelling human rights stories along the way. You will also encounter many architectural features as you make your way through the Museum. You can choose a 90-minute tour ascending the ramps or a shorter 60-minute version using the elevators. Access to the Israel Asper Tower of Hope is not included in the guided tour. However, you will have a chance to visit the Tower on your own following the tour.

Discover the Building Tour

The architecture of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is not just beautiful - it’s full of symbolism. Find out about the architect’s vision, significance of the site, as well as the building’s design and materials. Prepare to be awed and inspired on this 60-minute journey. Please note that this tour is 60 minutes in length for both the ramp and elevator versions. This tour itself does not enter any of our galleries, but the fees listed below do include full access to the galleries if you would like to spend additional time in the Museum. Once again, access to the Israel Asper Tower of Hope is not included in the guided tour. However, you will have a chance to visit the Tower on your own following the tour.

Dinner on Monday, Oct 2nd

Dinner will be provided by the Fort Garry Hotel as part of your conference package but you will need to sign up on Evenbrite. Please also let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. Otherwise, you may want to take advantage of being close to the Forks and the many downtown restaurants.
