This event will launch a series of conversations with friends, comrades, and potential collaborators that will be held in conjunction with When We Breathe We Breathe Together, an action-oriented cultural organizing initiative facilitated by Decolonize This Place that will be hosted for three months this spring by the Art Gallery of Guelph. Using the newly-released Decolonial Operations Manual as a frame, the conversation-series will serve as the first step in building out When We Breathe We Breathe Together as a platform for organizing and action. We will not only take stock of the multiple crises currently affecting the world of museums, but also think together about how movement initiatives can activate cultural institutions as sites of struggle and transformation.
