Event description
Add beauty and colour to your yard and increase bird song on your street.

About this Event

Birds can bring colour, music and joy to any yard. Join CVC’s Melissa Creasey to discover the most common - and most unique - birds in your neighbourhood. Learn how to attract them to your yard as well as what to do to keep them safe. Learn about the top native trees and shrubs you can plant to bring more birds to your property and then sign up to receive a free one!

Do you live in the Chris Gibson neighbourhood? Local attendees can receive a free tree or shrub, delivered to their home.

Bio for Melissa Creasey

Melissa has worked at CVC since 2013 as a coordinator for urban landowner outreach. Melissa has developed several resources related to landscaping for birds and pollinators, delivered presentations, writes for the monthly newsletter The Garden Post, and gets to spend the warmer months of the year planting and maintaining native plants. Melissa has BSc and MSc in Environmental Science where her focus was in songbird conservation.
