Lang Pioneer Village Mill Tour
Date and time
Description
A grist mill was the cornerstone of any agriculture community - and for nearly 200 years the Lang Mill has run on water power and the grain of local farmers. Red Fife Wheat, developed by David Fife, was first ground here, and for this year's Local Food Tour, the Mill will be making flour from Red Fife kindly provided in partnership with Merrylynd Organics (http://merrylyndorganics.ca/). Come see the turbine flying, the rollers grinding, and take home a bag of flour made from Peterborough County history.
Groups and families welcome for this exceptional tour.
