On behalf of the Language Access Project (LAP) team, hua foundation invites you to celebrate the launch of the Language in Practice toolkit.

As a member of our language advocacy community, you have played a key role in championing this work. We welcome you to join us for an afternoon of speakers, stories, and snacks. For those unable to attend in-person, this event will also be streamed on Zoom.

Please note that there are two ticketing options available: in-person and virtual. Due to capacity limitations, registration will be verified at the door, so please make sure to select the correct ticket! Virtual attendees will be provided a streaming link on the day of the event.

For this in-person event, we recommend the wearing of masks for the safety of vulnerable members of the community, as well as all guests.

Ticketing:

In-person tickets are by donation, on a cost-recovery model. Suggested donation: sliding scale $5-10, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

If you are a community member for whom cost may be a barrier, enter code COMMUNITY to access free in-person tickets.

Directions & access:

Creekside Community Recreation Centre is located a short distance from several major transit points including Main Street Science World station, and along a number of major bus routes (03 / 08 / 19 / 84). There is underground pay parking located on site, as well as metered street parking in the surrounding area.

The event will be held on the second floor in Multipurpose Room 4. Elevator access can be requested at the front desk.
