About this event

Step back in time to experience Christmas in the early 20th century. Enjoy the sights and sounds of decorated historic homes and shops, crackling bonfires and Christmas carols. Indulge in freshly made Christmas goodies and warm apple cider as you stroll the night away in the ambiance of a lantern-lit historic village.

Admission: $15.00 per person plus HST (under 2 years = FREE). Members receive a 10 per cent discount. Advance ticket purchase is required for this event, tickets will not be available at the door.

Tickets are non-refundable.

Information for Members:

  • Please book your visit in advance to reserve your place. All attendees will be required to have tickets purchased in advance.
  • Choose the date and time for your visit, then enter “MEMCODE” into the discount field to obtain the 10% discount.
  • Please note that your membership must be valid upon date of booking and on the event date, or access may be denied.

FAQsWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking at the Waterloo Region Museum is complimentary. We encourage you to consider carpooling, especially during such a busy event, to help with parking capacity and the environment.

To get to us by bus: From Fairview Park Mall, take the #10 Conestoga College bus, to the corner of Homer Watson Boulevard and Manitou Drive. The museum is a short walk south along Homer Watson Boulevard. IMPORTANT: As you get off the bus, walk toward the traffic lights and cross Homer Watson Boulevard before you turn right (south) toward the museum.

What can I bring into the event?

Guests are welcome to bring flashlights or battery-operated lanterns. Flame-lit lanterns are not permitted. How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Tickets must be presented at the event. They can be printed or shown on a handheld device.
