Event description

Description

Join us for a large outdoor community Naloxone training. The goal of this event is to educate ourselves on how to save a life, but also to raise awareness that fatal and on fatal overdose are still happening in our community.

Come out even if you've already been trained in the use of naloxone! Join us so we can show the larger community that we care, we are aware, and we believe that community has a huge role to play in ending preventable death through overdose.

If you would like to volunteer at this event, you can register to do so by contacting ioadyyj@gmail.com OR by attending a volunteer meeting in the AVI Boardroom (3rd Floor, 713 Johnson St) at 2:00pm on August 6th.

This event has been organized by the South Island Community Overdose Response Network (SICORN) with funding from the Community Action Initiative (CAI) and support from the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research (CISUR).
