SPEAKER BIOS:
MC – Mike Nabavi: As an entrepreneur, I am leading a great team to build a social network that has the potential to disrupt the social media and the online advertising models. As an advisor, I am helping boards and executive teams of larger organizations and founders of early stage tech companies identify opportunities and manage risks. As an investor, I invest in most of the Vancouver based tech companies that I help; and I help those that invest in.

Andrew Wagner: ESL Coin is the full application of blockchain technology to the ESL industry. In addition to providing a common means of payment, it will function as a decentralized autonomous database of ESL students, teachers and businesses. Smart contract technology will be used to assign reputations to users based on feedback from others, who will be initially verified by a blockchain-based ID system.

Adam Soltys: Althea supports the creation of new networks built by and for communities, powered by our routers, which pay each other for bandwidth. This allows people to set up “decentralized ISPs” in their communities, and easily manage and grow them. We’re working with communities all over the world to set up test deployments of our routers now, and are looking for partners and collaborators interested in setting up their own.

Blair Lowther: BlocPal’s mission is to develop a simpler, smarter and more secure way to transact with crypto and traditional currencies. We’ve designed the first ‘multi-currency, multi-fiat’ blockchain infrastructure, using proprietary technology to simplify and secure payment processing. Our multifaceted e-wallet and platform create an ecosystem that focuses on security, transparency and speed, and are soon to become the standard for all digital currency payments.
