About this event

Join Robert von Bitter, Ronald F. Williamson, and guests for a fascinating chat about their new co-edited book: The History and Archaeology of the Iroquois du Nord, published in the prestigious Mercury Series (co-published by the Canadian Museum of History and the University of Ottawa Press).

The book

In the mid-seventeenth century, the Haudenosaunee established settlements at strategic locations along the north shore of Lake Ontario. This volume summarizes traditional Indigenous, documentary, and archaeological knowledge of these places and the material culture left behind by their occupants. The book is co-published by the Canadian Museum of History and the University of Ottawa Press.
