Lazaridis Scale-Up Program Reception
Mon, 3 April 2017, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM PDT
The Lazaridis Institute is bringing 10 of Canada’s most promising tech companies to San Francisco, and they want to meet you.
The Lazaridis Scale-Up Program is designed to empower growth-stage Canadian technology leaders to overcome the barriers facing their companies as they scale-up. As part of our program, our participating companies are spending a week meeting influencers, experts, mentors and investors from San Francisco and the Valley.
We invite you to join us for a networking reception to learn more about the Lazaridis Scale-Up Program, connect with the CEOs and founders of the 10 companies in our first cohort and find out how you can be a part of their journey to growth.
ABOUT THE LAZARIDIS INSTITUTE SCALE-UP PROGRAM
Companies in the Scale-Up Program expand and refine their unique roadmaps for growth while base-lining core areas needed for their next round of financing. They do this by working directly with experts who’ve had the experience of growing a company—or several companies—to global scale. Each company in the program is also carefully matched with a mentor chosen for their expertise in the company’s industry and with the company’s specific challenges. In our program, CEOs/founders of promising Canadian tech firms don’t spend 6 months planning their growth journeys—with all the support they receive, they can focus on making that growth happen. ABOUT THE LAZARIDIS INSTITUTE
The Lazaridis Institute is focused on solving a specific national challenge – the need for more globally competitive technology companies in Canada. Our approach to this complex problem is three-fold: 1) We support Canadian technology companies in reaching their next level of growth, through world-class programs like the Scale-Up Program and Pipeline, and a global network of business and technology experts who provide mentorship, connections, and valuable experience. 2) We conduct insightful research, always looking to develop new knowledge about innovation, management and disruption as it relates to technology companies. 3) As part of the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, we are creating direct links between international research, best practices in global scaling, and curriculum to empower students with the knowledge they need to make a difference in emerging companies after they graduate.
