You've probably already heard about Github, a social network a little different from Facebook where it's all about code.

About this Event

Github is based on git, a utility developed by the Linux creator, which plays a central role in any development project: that of a version management system. Mastering git means adopting a good development practice that will forever change your vision of IT.

DISCLAIMER: If you have already written a command in a terminal, it's better but it's not mandatory!

Instructor: Richard Jarram, Le Wagon alumnus & teacher (Montréal), Full-Stack developer.

In this workshop, you will learn how to :

  • Take in hand Git
  • Collaborate with other developers using Git
  • Learn about the Open-Source collaboration on Github
  • Host your personal static site on Github Pages

How to prepare and what to bring

1) You own laptop - FULLY CHARGED

2) Make sure you have Google Chrome installed and running on your computer: https://www.google.com/chrome/

3) Download SublimeText Editor: http://www.sublimetext.com/3(http://www.sublimetext.com/2)

4) Create your Github account in advance to save time5) If you are using Windows, download Git
