The Women’s Data day is a special morning which aims to encourage women to dive into the Data Science field by learning the basics of programming with Python. You will also get immersed in the daily life of a Data Scientist through concrete business cases using datasets from the real world.

We are excited to partner with WAI (Women in Artificial Intelligence) for this edition. Seynabou Ndiaye will be our special guest. She will share with us her journey as a developer for Myelin Solutions and founder of Ikigai Montreal. Ikigai Montreal is a platform that aims to lead motivated professionals toward job opportunities that have a big social impact.

At Myelin, Seynabou helps with the development of the mental health information and collaboration apps Mylin and Synerpsy. Prior to joining Myelin and starting Ikigai, Seynabou got involved in other projects whose goals were providing sustainable solutions to global issues. She is a strong believer in using AI for social good, so she aims to use her knowledge in both Mathematics and Computer Science to push the development of AI powered solutions to global issues.

Prerequisites

Some basic knowledge in Python is necessary but not mandatory. The basic concepts will be explained in a practical and accessible way.
