Description

Leading Change - Aviation & Aerospace Series

Change is a constant—be prepared to face it head on using a toolkit of models for change and change leadership.

Whether you're considering a small change to one or two processes, or a system wide change - a well thought out process is important. Learn to focus on the wider impacts of change, particularly on people and how they, as individuals and teams, move from the current situation to the new one. The change in question could range from a simple process change, to major changes in policy or strategy needed if the organization is to achieve its potential.

Successful change occurs when there is commitment, a sense of urgency or momentum, stakeholder engagement, openness, clear vision, good and clear communication, strong leadership, and a well executed plan. Learn how to overcome resistance to change and discover strategies for bringing team members onboard.

Managing change isn't enough – you have to lead it.

This Leading Change Workshop is part of the Aviation series hosted by the Raven Institute and is great for any aviation and aerospace professional including supervisors, managers, leaders, executives, board members, captains, engineers, chief pilots, operations managers, persons responsible for maintenance, accountable executives.

Lunch is included with your investment.

Contact us at connect@raveninstitute.ca if you would like to save the fees and pay directly by credit card - we will generate an invoice through Quickbooks and send it your way.

Your Facilitator: Teara Fraser holds a Master of Arts in Leadership degree from Royal Roads University, and she is a Certified Executive Coach. The journey of learning now takes her back to Royal Roads as Associate Faculty in the Master of Arts in Leadership program and to Fielding University where she is studying in the Human Development Ph.D. program.

Becoming a pilot was transformational, truly giving this young Métis woman wings – she loves to see others fall in love with flight. She established the Aviation Leadership Foundation, she recently launched Give them Wings (Indigenous Youth Taking Flight), and she serves as Board Director for the British Columbia Aviation Council. She has held the roles of Chief Pilot, Operations Manager, Person Responsible for Maintenance, and Accountable Executive. With the launch of Iskwew Air, Teara’s entrepreneurial spirit takes her into a new arena as the first Indigenous woman to launch an airline in Canada.

As the visionary of the Raven Institute, she sees connected hearts, minds, and hands in a united and thriving nation. We contribute to the development of humans, teams, organizational systems and community. The Raven Institute is excited to host this aviation and aerospace leadership series.
