About this Event
Our Lean Healthcare Yellow Belt Training is designed to provide attendants with a comprehensive understanding of Lean healthcare methods and prepare them to participate, as contributors, to Lean projects.
Topics covered will include:

- Process Mapping
- Value Stream Mapping in Healthcare
- Process Data
- Healthcare and Waste Overview
- Applying 5S in Healthcare
- Mistake Proofing
- Standard Work
- PDCA and A3 in Lean Healthcare
- Kaizen in Healthcare
- Lean Implementation in Healthcare
This training entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leader members (CHE/ Fellow) to Category II credits towards their maintenance of certification requirement.
How it is delivered
Virtual training
This course will be delivered online via Zoom in 4 x 4-hour sessions.
Sessions will occur on the following dates:
- November 10 – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Module 1)
- November 11 – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Module 2)
- November 17 – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Module 3)
- November 18 – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Module 4)
Case studies, activities and links to video sources will be used to ensure the training is enjoyable, meaningful, and relevant. Sessions will also include interactive group exercise.
Following the completion of training, including a final exam (70%+), each attendee will receive a Certificate of Completion.

- Front line clinical and professional staff, Physicians, Directors and managers.
