Learn To Knit - A Workshop for Beginners
Sun, 8 January 2017, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST
Join us on Sunday January 8th at 1pm and receive 2 hours of hands-on instruction on the very basics of knitting: casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch and binding off. You will also learn how to read a yarn label and knitting patterns. With these foundational skills you will be able to create a variety of your own cozy modern knits. By the end of the class, we will get started on your very first project - a modern, wide-knit headband!
Each participant will receive a knit kit with all the materials needed to get started, not to mention a pretty awesome time out to meet people, mingle and make stuff!
Workshop is located in the rustic One for the Wall studio, located in the Old Boehmer Box Factory on on Breithaupt St. in Kitchener, in-between Waterloo St. and Duke St. West. There is no street address for this building. The day before the workshop, an email will be sent with specific instructions on where to park and how to locate the studio door.
Please come a few minutes early to settle in.
Looking forward to spending some crafty time with you!
