This is a ten week program for ages 7-9yrs old.


• December 13/20 (no class Dec 27th)

• January 10/17/24/31 (no class Jan 3rd)

• February 7/14/28 (no class Feb 21st)

• March 7

Participants must:

• arrive 15 minutes early to put on all equipment


• Hockey, figure, or recreational Skates with a supportive ankle (available from Sherbrooke Community League)

• CSA approved hockey helmet (not expired) (available from Sherbrooke Community League)

• Mittens

• Dress in layers - no long, dangly, or restrictive items/garments

• Snow pants recommended

Program pre-requisites*:

1> Fall down and get up.

2> Balance on 2 feet

3> Move forward

4> Move backwards

5> Twisting motion with skates

6> 360* march

7> 2foot jump

* the Sherbrooke Rink is available to practice prior to attending the course

This program runs in compliance with Canskate and by an Canskate Trained Instructor.

Conducted in a fun, friendly environment, the CanSkate program showcases a comprehensive series of balance, control and agility skills, using a nationally-tested and proven curriculum that supports skater success in developing stronger basic skills on the ice.
