About this Event

Learn your colours in the On^yota'a:ka language while painting workshop led by Kunhotukwas Shana Elijah Bear Clan, Oneida Nation of the Thames.

Kunhotukwas is an Oneida artist who has studied studio art since 2007 as well as studied fine arts at Fanshawe College and Western University. She has learned to work with a wide range of art mediums such as painting, beadwork, textile art, hand embroidery, aluminum quilting and recently hand poke tattooing. A full-time student in the Oneida language program “Twatati” learning the Root method and strengthening the language.

Open to the public both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous
