Description

Come with your child to enjoy the warm and welcoming environment of the historic Barn House on the Clemmons Family Farm and learn about the Children’s March of 1963 in Birmingham, Alabama. The presentation and discussion will be facilitated by trained staff of the Peace & Justice Center of Burlington. Participants of all ages will explore Martin Luther King's nonviolence approach to protest (Kingian Nonviolence and more) through watching age-appropriate excerpts from the film "Mighty Times: The Children's March", discussion and song.

This program includes a tour of the Barn House and snacks after the official presentation. Free with pre-registration (maximum 30 participants). Appropriate for children ages 5 - 10 with an adult guardian.

Where do I park?

The Barn House address is 2122 Greenbush Road, Charlotte Vermont 05445. Please park in the barnyard located across the street from the Barn House. You will see an "Event Parking" sign indicating the area where you can park.

What do I do if I cannot walk down and up the hill to the Barn House?

Please contact us at clemmonsfamilyfarm@gmail.com or call (802) 310-0097 so that we can arrange for a car to drive you down (and up) the hill. Also, the Barn House has an access ramp for those who may have difficulty using the stairs at the main entrance.
