About this Event

Learning circles at the library are study groups guided by staff for people who want to take a free online course together in a welcoming space. Learners meet weekly and work together through the course material.

This 10-week course introduces the concepts of the Internet of Things (IoT) and challenges of the transformational IoT economy. Through multimedia course content, quizzes and lab exercises, learners will understand how IoT drives the convergence between an organization's operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). Machine-to-machine (M2M), machine-to-people (M2P), and people-to-people (P2P) connections and IoT solutions are also covered.

Suitable for learners who want to leverage their technical and business knowledge to transition into IoT-related functions. They will learn how IoT transforms business and creates new value and job opportunities.

This course runs every Tuesday and Thursday morning from October 1 through December 5. Participants must be available to attend all sessions. A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the course.
