Description

Bring your DSLR Camera and join Steve Jolie, creator of Elk Valley Progressive Photography Club in this beginner friendly yet comprehensive introduction into how your DSLR camera works and how to apply post production to get amazing end results. Come away with a firm understanding of your camera and valuable knowledge of settings to shoot and process, for better photography. This workshop is the first in a series of three, and is a prerequesite to all future workshops in this series. Coffee and tea are provided, bring your own snacks. Please note, membership in the Elkford Arts Council is required ($25/year) for these workshops. Date: April 28 2018 at 1pm-5pm. Cost is $75 includes one free photo print (up to $15 value). Here's a peek to what comes next! The 2nd seminar is May 12 and is Advanced Photography: shooting techniques for wildlife, landscape, astrophotography, light painting, long exposure, panning, neutral density filters, camera settings and post processing techniques.

The third seminar is Oct 18 and is Studio Photography: studio lighting, types of shoots, posing of subjects, studio set-up, camera settings, props and tools, post processing for various effects,. Hands on training in a studio setup

**EAC Cancellation Policy: If a participant has paid for a program and cancels prior to the registration deadline they will receive the full amount of the registration fee, less a 25% administration fee. After the registration deadline has passed then no refund is available however reserved spot is transferrable to another person. If the event is cancelled due to not meeting minimum numbers, full refunds will be granted**
