Event description
This class is designed to build on the skills learned in Leash Reactivity 101 and help your dog learn self control when on leash.

About this Event

This class is for those who have completed our Leash Reactivity 101 or equivalent. If you are new to leash reactivity, please enrol in our Leash Reactivity 101 instead.

The first class is full of important behavioural information, SO PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS TO THE FIRST CLASS!

PLEASE NOTE: THIS CLASS MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ALL DOGS. Dogs that exhibit extreme behaviours may be asked to sign up for a private consultation before attending this group class.

Over this 6 week course, we will continue to build on those skills learned in our Leash Reactivity 101 class. We will focus on building the dog's calmness and self control around other dogs and people. We will focus on techniques that are designed to help your dog with managing and calming their own behaviour using scientifically proven, positive reinforcement based methods to modify all types of reactivity, whether it stems from fear, anxiety, or frustration.

If you adopted your dog from the Edmonton Humane Society within the last three months, you receive a 10% discount on 6-week group training classes! Please email askthespecialist@edmontonhumanesociety.com to receive the code.

To receive the discount you MUST enter the code at time of registration.

  • All clients will be required to wear masks while inside the building
  • Clients are asked to please only bring 2 people per dog attending
