A workshop for front-line and community workers presented by CLEO.

Your clients trust you to help them with many different kinds of problems. But how can you help when they face a legal issue?

This 3-hour workshop will:

  • help you decide if there is a legal aspect to your client’s problem
  • direct you to accurate and reliable sources of legal information
  • explain the difference between legal information and legal advice
  • help you make good referrals when your clients need legal advice

** Please bring a charged laptop or notebook to the workshop. (Cell phones are not sufficient).

REGISTRATION IS LIMITED. There will be 2 sessions for service providers to choose from:

Community Legal Education Ontario/Éducation juridique communautaire Ontario (CLEO) is an independent, community-based, public legal education and information (PLEI) organization dedicated to serving communities and people in Ontario, particularly those who face barriers to participation in the justice system. Since 1974, CLEO has developed clear, accurate, and practical legal rights education and information to help people understand and exercise their legal rights. In recent years, CLEO has developed several programs to support front-line workers build a deeper understanding of legal issues and access to justice, so they can help Ontarians find legal information relevant to their problems.
