About this Event

Lennie’s annual Christmas show to get you into the spirit of the season. Showcasing his original Christmas songs new and revered ( see Christmas Day on Planet Earth, and The Innkeeper), as well as a few seasonal carols and popular Gallant faves. As always, a special guest or two to add some spice to the punch! Last year the show quickly sold out 800 seats so don’t delay!

Lennie Gallant has released thirteen albums (10 in English and 3 in French) of original songs which have won him a host of awards and nominations from the JUNOs and Les Prix Eloizes. He’s received a Canadian Folk Artist of The Year Award as well as 19 East Coast Music Awards, including the 2017 ECMA Entertainer of the Year. He was nominated for it again this year. Gallant’s multimedia hit production Searching For Abegweit ran for 175 shows and toured the East coast to sold out performances . His Maritime classic song ‘’Peter’s Dream” was voted one of the Top Ten East Coast Songs of All Time by CBC listeners and was recently inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.

A recipient of the Order of Canada, Lennie is a touring artist who has performed all over the country, the US, Europe, for the troops in Afghanistan, and at the Winter Olympics. He has toured with Symphony Nova Scotia, Symphony New Brunswick and with Symphony PEI. He has shared the stage with such artists as Lucinda Williams, Patti Griffin, Roger Hodgson, and has performed with Jimmy Buffett and David Foster and his band. His songs have been covered by numerous artists and have appeared in feature films and TV shows. One of his albums, “When We Get There”, even went up to the International Space Station with Canadian Astronaut Julie Payette (now the Governor General) for the crew to enjoy and orbited the planet 248 times. How about that for high rotation!

Fresh on the heels of his 2017 ECMA wins, Gallant found himself in the studio to record his critically acclaimed album, Time Travel. The album features guest appearances by Mary Jane Lamond, Rose Cousins, Jenn Grant, and The Atlantic String Machine, among others. The album made the 2018 Top Ten Folk Albums of the year list by a collection of music industry reviewers, and won 2020 Canadian Folk Music production of the year under Daniel Ledwell. His new song Sequoia, is a celebration of strength and renewal in nature, but also a plea to the world to be more in touch with the enduring spirit of these great elders in our fragile forests. His newly released gorgeous video for the song was filmed in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Catch it on YouTube.
