Let's CHAT: Interdisciplinary Student Health Conference
Thu, 6 April 2017, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM PDT
In 2015, University of Victoria’s Social Dimensions of Health program hosted its first student conference with over 40 members in attendance. Building on these students’ momentum, in 2017, the current SDH students hope to create a tradition of student interdisciplinary health inquiry with a second semi-annual conference to be held on April 6, 2017.
The SDH Student Conference is an important opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as community partners and members, to gather together, showcase their research and/or community engagement and discuss the intersections of health within all disciplines.
It is with tremendous appreciation and excitement that we present our guest speakers:
Opening Address: Dr. Charlotte Lopie
Keynote Address: Dr. Trevor Hancock
Closing Address: Dr. Cecilia Benoit
We will be inviting students and community members from across BC and other provinces to join us in what we hope will be a rich day of mutual learning and idea sharing. It is our sense that this student conference has immense potential for growth and to become an important voice for the Western Canadian health-concerned student community.
