Event description
Come join Al Rashid's very own Talking Sticks workshop!

About this Event

In Native American history, talking sticks were used at events and meetings as a means of hearing everyone's point of view. When someone was holding a talking stick, everyone remained silent and listened carefully. During this workshop, attendees will be making their own talking sticks, and taking part in this ceremony.

Event will be led by Jean Tait, from Art Can Heal. Jean is a professional art therapist, located in Spruce Grove. She is an indigenous woman, a member of Berens River First Nation in Manitoba and interested in building cultural bridges.
