Event Details

Unlike any other conversation about Crowdfunding, you will hear about creative campaigns to source money from the crowd - from donations to equity.

This conversation is for creators and entrepreneurs who want to know more about sourcing money from the crowd to fund your projects and ventures.

This conversation is for supporters and investors who want to know what it means to fund a project or venture you’re passionate about.

With the advent of crowdfunding websites like Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and home-grown in Vancouver FundRazr, and the changes in legislation in the US that makes crowdsourcing equity more accessible, what does crowdfunding mean to you?

How can we invest in things we are passionate about and that align with our values?

Join us for a candid conversation around crowdfunding, for not-for-profit and for-profit ventures.  We will be welcoming 5 guest speakers to this event, which is hosted by Pique Ventures and the Canadian Global Impact Investing Group.

This is the fourth of a series of events held monthly to talk about a different approach to investing.  We thought we'd cut to the chase and start talking about the things that help us or prevent us from investing with our values.

The event will be held at SFU Sega Graduate School of Business, Room 1200.  The venue is kindly sponsored by SFU Beedie School of Business.
