Event Details

Mobility (to move from place to place) is like a cocktail, meant to be shaken and stirred. Drivers walk from a car. Bicycles can be found on transit. We mix modes of getting around for efficiency, ease, and the safest route. Can mobility affect the public realm? How interchangeable are our options for getting around? Is our asphalt and concrete designed to favor some mobility choices over others?

screening_ The Human Scale, our panel discussion will address design challenges to good mobility and opportunities for improving Calgary’s own scale for the human.

the panelists_ Don Mulligan, the City of Calgary, Ryan Martinson, Stantec, Darren Bender, University of Calgary, Moderator: Councillor Druh Farrell
