IMPORTANT INFORMATION & FAQ'S

- Please register in advance! This allows us to plan appropriately for the day.

- Make sure to include all members who will be coming along with you when registering for the amount of tickets (include yourself, any adults, and ALL children in the total number).

What if I register for the Morning Session but want to stay for the afternoon as well?

Morning attendees will not be asked to leave in the afternoon - times are just our way of spreading attendance out over the whole day.

How much does the event cost?

It is FREE to attend this event! However, we ask that all participants register and reserve their free tickets online ahead of time. This event is free because it is run by students who volunteer their time and donations from sponsors and fundraising, which allows us to keep coming back every year to teach all the wizards and witches of Edmonton. However, donations are always greatly appreciated and will be accepted at the door or accepted online by donating via our donation site here: Let's Talk Science UAlberta Donation Site.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The Health Sciences/Jubilee station is the closest LRT station. There is paid parking at the University - the Education parking lot is the closest. The #4 and #106 buses (from south campus) also stop right in front of the Katz Building.

Do I have to attend with my children?

Yes. All children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Will pictures be taken at the event?

Yes. We have several student photographers that will be walking around during the event. If you do not want your children in any pictures, just ask at the registration desk for a sticker which will exclude your child from pictures.

Do I have to dress up in a costume?

All costumes are welcome and optional!

Where can I find out more about the event?

All information about the event can be found on our Facebook page here: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: Science is Magic.
