Let's Talk Science Saturdays: Gr. 3 (Dirt Detectives)
Sat, 25 February 2017, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM EST
Do you wish you had more opportunities to learn with your child, or do you love finding unique and fun learning opportunities for them? Would you like to get your children more interested in science? Is your child already interested in science and you want to cultivate this interest?
If you said “yes” to any of the above questions, come on out and join Let’s Talk Science for Science Saturday! Where we will be doing fun hands on-science for the whole family! On this particular Saturday, our activities will be aimed at a grade 3 level (although, students in grades 1 and 3 would also find this activity age appropriate and interesting).
From 2:30-3:30 PM we will be having fun with our "Dirt Detectives!" activity, where children and parents will learn about different types of soil and their properties and learn all about worms and why they are so important!
Please note, parents or an adult must stay with the child for the duration of this activity, since it is a family science day after all!
Spots are limited, and tickets will be checked at the door to ensure appropriate group numbers.
We will also be offering an activity before this one, from 1:00-2:00 PM, (also at the grade 3 level), called "Bridges and Towers". Please register for the second session through Eventbrite as well, if you are interested in attending both: https://scisatbridges.eventbrite.ca
Please contact us if you have any questions and we hope to see you there!
