Let's Talk Urban Trees
Event Information
About this Event
Did you know Edmonton's urban forest is estimated to sequester roughly 3,000 tonnes of C02 a year? That's the equivalent of taking 637 cars off the road.
The urban forest is an increasingly important City asset, and we invite you to share your views on strategies for managing and protecting public trees in places like parks, boulevards, the river valley, ravines, roadways, and more. More specifically, we want to hear your feedback on the Corporate Tree Policy, provisions for Natural Areas as well as perspectives, expectations and limitations for tree protection and enforcement to inform the development of a Tree Protection Bylaw. We hope you, or a representative from your organization can join us at the stakeholder workshop.
