Listening, positivity, and accepting ideas will be emphasized as students learn the basics by failing forward. To ensure a beneficial learning environment for registrants, a limited number of spots will be available for this class.

Due to the short number of classes there will be no final performance for this course.

PLEASE NOTE: To gain entrance into this class, students must have completed the Sunday night youth class 3+ times, or be given permission by the instructor(s)

INSTRUCTORS:

Anyssa McKee

Anyssa has been training, performing and teaching at Loose Moose Theatre for over eight years. In addition to regular Friday and Saturday shows at Loose Moose, Anyssa has starred in Sour Dog Theatre’s Millennials and Missed Connections. In 2015, she completed the improv and sketch program at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City. With a passion for improvisation, Anyssa loves to teach improv to all ages.

Kat Phelan
Kat first attempted improv in Japan and immediately fell in love and on returning to Calgary joined the Loose Moose Theatre Company. Kat has participated in numerous Theatre for Kids shows and various improv formats on Friday and Saturday nights, either by being on stage or providing tech. As an elementary school educator, Kat understands the value improv brings to helping individuals develop a growth mindset, dealing positively with failure, and becoming effective communicators. Her motto is: Challenges are there to teach us, not defeat us.
