Description

What is Leverage Lab

Leverage Lab helps get change unstuck. We work in the intersection between government agencies, industry associations, and businesses, and we are providing the methodology to bridge the gap between sustainability goals and actions towards them.

It’s a win-win.

Businesses gain a systemic perspective of their ecological footprint. They learn about the challenges they are facing now and in the future, how to mitigate the risks associated, and what innovation and leveraging opportunities exist. This gives them a competitive edge and improves their brand reputation while cutting costs.

Leverage Lab COLLABORATIVE 2018 is a six-month program for industry stakeholders ready to collaboratively tackle the issue of textiles waste. Building on the momentum of last year’s COLLABORATIVE, this year this is our focus:

How Leverage Lab works

Leverage Lab involves 3 phases:

  1. Leverage CAMP, a one day facilitated workshop for key industry stakeholders. Participants gathered into focus groups to brainstorm around key leverage points established from the research completed in the 2017 COLLABORATIVE.

  2. Leverage COLLABORATIVE, a 6-month program where a coalition of the willing gather once every second month for a full-day facilitated workshops to build collective action and prototype solutions to the common challenge presented. [This is the phase we are currently onboarding for]

  3. Debrief celebration where participants share progress, solutions, and lessons learned.

FAQs

What is the benefit of participating in Leverage Lab COLLABORATIVE? Leverage Lab COLLABORATIVE gives you the opportunity to address problems your business and industry face on a systemic level with other industry partners. It gives you the opportunity to partner up with other key stakeholders to identify the key challenges and construct solutions that accurately address these problems. In this case, you and your peers in this workshop will work towards building a solution that addresses the lack of regional end markets for apparel waste that otherwise goes to the landfill.

What if I cannot make a meeting? Each candidate commits to participating in all 3 sessions - no exceptions. Meetings are selected based on the results of an online Doodle poll to best accommodate everyone's different schedules.

What if I have more questions? Feel free to reach out with questions by email to sara@theleveragelab.com
