About this Event

Did you know that impact investing is a powerful tool that actively seeks to create positive and sustainable social, economic, or environmental impact in addition to financial gain?

This type of investment provides capital to tackle issues such as renewable energy or accessible basic services including housing, healthcare, and education.

Come join us to hear Bill Young deliver the keynote address on impact investing. Bill is the founder and president of Social Capital Partners, located in Toronto. He will be sharing the journey of SCP's from a social enterprise, to using impact investing and today, trying to make system level changes.

We will also have Kate Ruff, co-director of the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation at Carleton University. Kate will share how organizations measure their impacts on society and some of the challenges involved .

Our keynote sessions will provide you with essential information on impact investing while the breakout sessions will focus on local content. Plus a Q&A with Bill & Kate!
