About this Event

YouthOrganize is a new program from LGBT YouthLine! It is a free online platform to engage 2SLGBTQ Ontario youth 29 and under who are interested in starting their own groups/organizations, who already have one, or who wish to help an existing one. Youth who join are actively building (or interested in building) 2SLGBTQ+ community through starting their own youth groups, GSA's, events and/or collectives. YouthOrganize is here to help you connect with other youth and organizers, share resources, and participate in relevant online training and conversations among other things. Ontario needs more 2SLGBTQ spaces and communities for youth - you can help build them.

Our first session : "Intro to Peer Support and Active listening" will take place online on July 16 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM EDT and it is one of many topics we will be exploring in the following months. In general, peer support involves helping and supporting someone who you have a common shared and lived experience with . Active listening involves effectively and meaningfully listening, engaging and responding to someone else.

Please RSVP via eventbrite. Once you sign up with your ticket, we will email you a link to the meeting. If you have any questions, please email
