Event description

Description

Over the course of their careers professional athletes go through a number of major transitions in a very short period of time. Wins, losses, poor officiating, pressure, injuries and many other aspects of sports are a microcosm for so much of life experienced outside of the realm of sport. Enjoy a candid conversation about a former professional athlete’s approach to navigating major life transitions emotionally, socially, and financially.

Matt Kassian is a former professional hockey player who now works with professional athletes, executives, and business owners across Canada and the United States as a financial advisor to navigate their complex situations with clarity and care. In his spare time Matt is also a hockey analyst for TSN 1260 radio in Edmonton. He is currently a member of the NHL Alumni Association and the Edmonton Oilers Alumni Association. He is also very active in the community; donating his time to several charities through the Edmonton Oilers Alumni Association as well as guest coaching at several local minor hockey associations. Matt now lives in Sherwood Park with his wife Amanda and their daughters Amery and Callie.
